Protect the shared loading area
Describe parked vehicles, overhead obstacles, gates, and turning space along the collection approach. The truck may need more working room than the container occupies. Agree who keeps that space open on exchange and pickup days, especially when deliveries compete for the same area. If the proposed position is outside private property, resolve the appropriate public-space permission before scheduling around it.
Keep special materials outside the general load
Municipal Solid Waste Services provides disposal and recycling resources, but those public options are not the accepted-material list for a rental dumpster. Identify appliances, liquids, batteries, and suspect building materials separately. Obtain the proposed container's exclusions before demolition begins, and arrange suitable separate handling for anything excluded. Do not use an available container as temporary storage for unidentified chemicals.
Compare the full collection sequence
Ask for the rental duration, included weight, accepted debris, delivery, and final pickup in writing. Price any proposed exchanges separately. Discuss how blocked access, a changed material mix, or an extended tenant work schedule would change the quoted terms.
